or Fez to Marrakech
Our company "Fes Morocco Tours" provides a trip to the desert Morocco in two different ways.
The first option includes a trip of 2 days/1 night starting in Marrakech and ending in Fez.
The second option involves a tour of 2days/1 night but this time the opposite way : from Fes to Marrakech.
Though we recommend that to start such a trip from Fez insdead of Marrakech since by this way you will not miss the stunning sunset in the desert of Merzouga.It is known that the journey from Marrakech to the desert takes a long time because of the windy and senuous road through the high mountains.
Day 1 : Marrakech – High Atlas – Ouarzazate – Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Rissani – Merzouga - Camel Trekking
At 8:00am we will meet you at your hotel or riad in Marrakech drive through the High Altas Mountains stopping to enjoy the panoramic views from Tizi-n-Tichka. We will then visit an Argan oil cooperative to learn about the interesting production process and the innumerable benefits that this oil has for the body.
After we will drive along a road dotted with many different kinds of beautiful Kasbahs enjoying several stops along the way before arriving at one of the most impressive locations in the south: the Todra Gorge. The river running through the Todra Gorge has formed enormous vertical walls creating a uniquely beautiful paradise for many people.
Lunch will be provided before we continue travelling to the desert and the impressive dunes of Merzouga where we will rest for a while and enjoy some tea and entertainment. As you will not require your luggage we will store it at the hotel before leaving on a caravan of camels to ride for about an hour to the Haimas camp.
Along the way we will stop so you can stretch your legs and watch the spectacular sunset over the dunes. There will be entertainment before dinner and you will have the opportunity to climb the smaller or larger dunes and wish upon a falling star. We will stay overnight at the Haimas camp in the heart of the desert.
Day 2 : Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Midlet - Azrou - Fes
We will wake before dawn to watch the sunrise over the immense dunes before riding the camels back to the hotel. After breakfast in your riad you will start travelling to Fes via the Ziz Valley and Azrou. You will enjoy the fascinating landscape along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock and through the Tizi n’ Talghamt Pass to Midelt. After lunch you will continue through the Midlle Atlas Mountains and the Cedar Forest where you will see the Barbarian apes in the wild. Continue to Fes where the tour ends at your accommodation.
Fes to Marrakech desert tours
Day 1 : Fes - Azrou - Midlet - Ziz Valley - Merzouga - camel trek and overnight in the desert camp
Our driver will meet you at your Hotel/Riad in Fes City and start travelling to Sahara desert through a beautiful berber villages Stoping in a nice city Ifran Situated in the mountains of the Middle Atlas Ifrane is an oasis of freshness and greenery. Lakes fountains the scenery is total surprising and refreshing. (Known as Moroccan Switzerland).
Our trip takes us alongside the trailing edge of the Cedar Forest where you may well sight Barbarian apes to midelt via Azrou -Your journey continues to erg chebbi via a magical ziz gorge you have opportunity to take a nice photos. Then we ahead to Erfoud city and Oasis Tafilalet where there is an old Souk. On the afternoon you will mount your camel guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the sand-sea of Merzouga. Dinner will be served in front of the tent where you will spend the night.
Day 2 : Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorge - Roses valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakesh
Depart after breakfast to start the journey to Ait Ben hadou Kasbah, which belonged to the Glaoui family, the Pashas of Marrakesh, it's the most famous Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is also well-known as being the backdrop to many Hollywood blockbusters. The last part of the day's journey is across the hight Atas Mountains and its spectacular Jurassic geography. There will be a lunch stop and time for photographs on the way. We reach Marrakesh at the end of the afternoon.
